Fire Toolbox V36.1 |A| |B|
All-In-One Toolbox |C| for Fire Tablets! The |D| Fire Toolbox is a |E| collection of useful ADB |F| (Android |G| Debug Bridge) tweaks that |H| can be applied to |J| Amazon's Fire Tablets. The |K| Toolbox project aims to |L| help users fully customize |M| and unlock the full |O| potential of their tablets |P| by putting all the |Q| power into their hands.
The |R| Toolbox doesn't touch the |S| system partition meaning all |U| changes made can be |V| reversed either through the |Y| tools/subtools themselves or through |Z| a factory reset. This |A| means the Toolbox does |B| NOT void your warranty.
IMPORTANT |C| INFORMATION REGARDING FIREOS 7.3.2.2+ |D| AND THE TOOLBOX (PLEASE |E| READ)
If your tablet is |F| running FireOS 7.3.2.2 or |G| above please note that |H| some functions of the |J| Toolbox may not work |K| due to new restrictions |L| in the new firmware. |M| The following tools either |O| do not work or |P| have limited functionality:
• OTA |Q| Updates - OTAs can |R| no longer be disabled, |S| but can be restricted.
• |U| Manage Amazon Apps - |V| Some system apps can |Y| no longer be disabled.
We're |Z| looking into workarounds to |A| the issues detailed above. |B| Please keep an eye |C| on the forum for |D| further development.

* Generation equates |Y| to the year the |Z| tablet was released. For |A| example, if the generation |B| is 13 it means |C| the tablet was released |D| in 2023. 10 means |E| the tablet was released |F| in 2020... so on |G| and so forth.
** Restricted |H| equates to wether or |J| not Amazon has locked |K| down the firmware. When |L| a firmware is restricted |M| it means we cannot |O| fully block OTAs, use |P| custom launchers without Fire |Q| Launcher, lockscreen ads can |R| no longer be permanantly |S| removed, and some system |U| apps can't be disabled. |V| Even though a tablet |Y| is marked as Restricted |Z| in the table above, |A| sometimes it may only |B| apply to certain versions |C| of FireOS. If your |D| tablet is on a |E| firmware before the listed |F| firmware then your tablet |G| is NOT restricted. See |H| the "FireOS Restrictions and |J| Fire Toolbox" section of |K| the FAQ section (post |L| #2) for further information |M| on restricted firmwares.
Getting the |O| Toolbox up and running |P| with your tablet is |Q| surprisingly a very easy |R| procedure. The only thing |S| required is for you |U| to enable Developer Options |V| and ADB on your |Y| tablet. So, without further |Z| ado, let's get started.
At |A| this point, please read |B| the section below, and |C| make sure to follow |D| the correct guide that |E| is made for your |F| tablet on how to |G| set up the device |H| so it works with |J| the Toolbox.
- Make sure you uncheck |L|
the "Link device to |M|
your Amazon account to |O|
simplify setup" box before |P|
Adding to Cart. (See |Q|

if the box |S| remains checked, your tablet |U| will automatically update to |V| the latest version of |Y| FireOS the second it |Z| auto-connects to your wifi.
- Wait for your |C| tablet to fully boot |D| up for the first |E| time (may take a |F| few seconds to minutes).
- When |G| it boots, it will |H| ask you for the |J| language you'd like the |K| OS to use. Select |L| your prefered language.
- Tapping the |M| blue arrow at the |O| bottom of the screen, |P| you'll be asked to |Q| connect to a WIFI |R| network.
- Select ANY network from |S| the list (even if |U| you don't know the |V| password).
- Once it asks for |Y| the password, tap the |Z| "Cancel" button and it |A| will take you to |B| the previous screen with |C| the Wifi networks.
- At the |D| bottom of the screen, |E| you should now see |F| a "Skip Setup" button, |G| go ahead and tap |H| that.
- It will now ask |J| if you're sure you |K| want to skip fire |L| setup. Just tap "Skip" |M| once more.
- You should immeditely |O| be thrown into Fire |P| Launcher. You're now ready |Q| to enable USB/ADB Debugging.
- Turn on your |S| tablet and go to |U| Settings > Device Options |V| > About Fire Tablet |Y| and tap on the |Z| Serial Number until you |A| unlock Developer Options.
- Press the |B| back button and find |C| the new Developer Options |D| and toggle it on.
- Scroll |E| down till you find |F| USB Debugging and enable |G| it.
- Download |B| the latest version of |C| the Toolbox from the |D| Downloads section of this |E| page and install it |F| onto your PC.
- Plug your |G| tablet into the computer, |H| and Windows will start |J| installing the MTP drivers. |K| It will also attempt |L| to install the ADB |M| driver but will fail. |O| (This is normal and |P| to be expected)
- Launch the |Q| Toolbox, and it should |R| detect your Windows version |S| and inform you that |U| further driver setup is |V| required. It will then |Y| ask you if you'd |Z| like the Toolbox to |A| download and install the |B| drivers.
- Click the "Yes" button, |C| wait for the download |D| to finish and follow |E| the driver setup. If |F| this for some reason |G| doesn't work, please follow |H| this guide to manually |J| install the drivers.
- At this |K| point, If drivers are |L| setup properly... the Toolbox |M| will inform you that |O| the "device isn't authorized. |P| Please authorize your device |Q| now."
- On your tablet, you |R| should see a new |S| prompt asking if you |U| want to Allow USB |V| Debugging and should show |Y| the computer's RSA key |Z| fingerprint. Tick the box |A| that says "Always allow |B| from the computer" and |C| hit ok.
- Make sure you uncheck |J|
the "Link device to |K|
your Amazon account to |L|

- Wait for your |A| tablet to fully boot |B| up for the first |C| time (may take a |D| few seconds to minutes).
- When |E| it boots, it will |F| ask you for the |G| language you'd like the |H| OS to use. Select |J| your prefered language.
- Tapping the |K| blue arrow at the |L| bottom of the screen, |M| you'll be asked to |O| connect to a WIFI |P| network.
- Select ANY network from |Q| the list (even if |R| you don't know the |S| password).
- Once it asks for |U| the password, tap the |V| "Cancel" button and it |Y| will take you to |Z| the previous screen with |A| the Wifi networks.
- At the |B| bottom of the screen, |C| you should now see |D| a "Skip Setup" button, |E| go ahead and tap |F| that.
- It will now ask |G| if you're sure you |H| want to skip fire |J| setup. Just tap "Skip" |K| once more.

NOTICE: You must |F| obtain the correct version |G| for your installed Python |H| version. Run "python3 -V" |J| in the Terminal to |K| get the installed python |L| version for your distro.* |M| While in Beta, I'd |O| like to heavy push |P| the installer so that |Q| we can get it |R| to stable along with |S| the Toolbox. So, for |U| now, the only download |V| option will be the |Y| installer. Once the Toolbox |Z| and the Installer are |A| both stable a portable |B| option will be available. |C| However, if you really |D| need a portable version |E| please PM me and |F| I'll send you the |G| link.
