Dune Awakening Update Arrives Sept 10, 2025: Free Chapter 2, Lost Harvest DLC & Trial Details

September 10, 2025, has |A| been marked out for |B| the first major update |C| for Funcom's multiplayer survival |D| game Dune: Awakening; it |E| will feature a free |F| story chapter, a separate |G| paid DLC entitled 'The |H| Lost Harvest', and a |J| free trial for new |K| players which will run |L| until August 24, 2025.

The |M| free story update titled |O| 'Chapter 2'

Chapter 2 will |P| be offered free to |Q| all players who own |R| Dune: Awakening. In addition |S| to continuing the story, |U| this update will introduce |V| several highly anticipated features:

• Character |Y| re-customization for the player
• New |Z| hairstyles/tattoos
• New contracts and more |A| randomized encounters
• New armor archetypes

Paid |B| DLC 'The Lost Harvest'

A |C| paid DLC titled The |D| Lost Harvest, with a |E| story that somewhat stands |F| on its own ;also |G| being offered for $12.99 |H| USD or as part |J| of Season Pass. It |K| has exclusive content, including:

• A |L| new vehicle, the Treadwheel
• Three |M| new Imperial Testing Stations |O| to explore
• Five new base |P| decorations
• Four new weapon skins |Q| and two new armor |R| skins
• Dune Man-themed building pieces |S| for bases
• A new vibe |U| emote

Limited-Time Free Trial Details

A |V| free trial is available |Y| until August 24 for |Z| those who are mainly |A| interested in trying the |B| game. The trial comes |C| with specific restrictions:

• Time Limit: |D| 10 hours of gameplay
• Location: |E| Gameplay limited to the |F| Hagga Basin area
• Restricted Areas: |G| Harko Village, Arrakeen, and |H| Deep Desert are closed
• Servers: |J| Players are on dedicated |K| free trial servers

Purchasing the |L| full game after the |M| trial will allow for |O| lot of your progress |P| to carry over, including |Q| your story progress, character |R| levels, skills, and backpack |S| inventory. However, you will |U| have to rebuild your |V| base and vehicle. Furthermore, |Y| all Solaris accumulated over |Z| the 10,000 limit will |A| be forfeited. Players that |B| upgrade from the trial |C| will also receive a |D| handful of cosmetic items.
